I'm still here.
Awww, have you been missing me? I've been here, sort of.
I was sick before we left for our cruise and once I got back I was thoroughly exhausted and have been trying to sleep off the rest of my cold. The cruise was wonderful, just way too short. We lost out on one day, since Sunday at sea was very windy and chilly. (see the whitecaps)
So, no basking in the sun as our group had previously planned-we were restricted to indoor activities. I used that time to work out, laze around and knit by the pool in the solarium and we took in a movie as well. Key West and Cozumel were both great days and the weather was very cooperative for those excursions.

And now, it's like Christmas again. In the mail today was this:
It's more of the Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran, like what I made Tempting out of. I LOVED working with this yarn so much that when I saw this listed on the Destash blog, I jumped on it. There is enough to make another Tempting, this time in a long sleeve version, so as soon as I tidy up some other WIP's I'll be casting on for Tempting-2. It's a salmon/coral color and I think it will be a good color for my newly tanned complexion!! I wore Tempting at dinner Sunday evening on the cruise ship and since it was a little cooler outside it was the perfect choice. I received many compliments on it and it was cute to see my man telling people "hey, she made that" and "do you know that she made her sweater?". He is a great cheerleader! I can't wait to make the second one.
I've also been working on a quicky hat for my man's work partner, as he's feeling somewhat unloved by seeing the hats my man has been sporting lately. And on the needles is my second attempt at some leg/ankle warmers that I'm whipping up out of some Patons Soy Wool Stripes. The first attempt resulted in elephantitis of the ankles as they were done on size 13 needles and slouched horribly below my pant legs. I'm making the second attempt on 10-1/2's and they look more like my size. I'm calling them ankle warmers because they are only going to be about 9" in length and they are meant to be worn with my sassy shoes, so I can be stylish yet still warm. And they will tuck neatly under my pant legs/jeans so it will be my little secret! Shhhh!
I've also put a few more rows on Peacock but nothing really camera worthy so I'll spare you the in-progess lack of progress shots.
We're off skiing again this weekend, before all the snow melts. Have a great weekend! I'll catch ya later!
